That's not the way!"  Her sharp cry split through the shell of rage engulfing Danner, and blinking, he looked down at her.  "North!" she spat.  "Our way lies north!"  Then her voice became deadly calm.   "In Gron dwells the source of the evil.  The best way to kill a snake is to cut off its head.  And that's what we must do -- snare the viper in its nest . . ."
